Dog Behaviour Support in Kent and Online
Compassionate, evidence-based dog behaviour support in Snodland and the surrounding areas of Kent, with initial behaviour assessments available in your home or online.
When life with your dog feels difficult
Living with behaviour such as excessive barking, lunging at other animals or people, growling or snapping, resource guarding, struggling when left alone, or finding visitors, handling or everyday noises difficult can affect so many parts of daily life.
Walks may feel stressful, you may find yourself constantly planning around your dog’s needs and conflicting advice can leave you feeling confused or overwhelmed. You love your dog and just want to understand what is happening and know how best to help them.
Progress doesn’t mean creating a “perfect” dog. It can mean helping your dog feel safer, having practical strategies for difficult situations and feeling less anxious, better prepared and more hopeful about the future.

Not sure which programme is right for you?
You don’t need to decide by yourself. You can book a free discovery call, or use my contact form if you would prefer to explain what is happening in writing. I’ll help you consider which programme may be the most suitable starting point for you and your dog.
“Finally feel like we’re on the right track”
Laura has been so understanding and really took the time to get to know Ralph and understand what’s going on with him, rather than just giving us a generic approach. She’s given us some really helpful, practical steps, and we already feel so much more confident about how to help him.
Danielle, Ralph’s guardian
Support that feels personal
You’ll have plenty of time to tell me what has been happening, without feeling rushed or judged. This is a safe and welcoming space for everyone, where you can be honest about the difficult bits as well as the good.
We’ll look at what may be driving your dog’s behaviour and work out practical changes that feel manageable for both you and your dog.
I’ll continue to support you as you put the plan into practice. You can ask questions, let me know how things are going and if something isn’t working, we can make changes together.

Book a free discovery call or send an enquiry to tell me a little about what has been happening. I’ll answer any questions and help you decide which programme may be the best fit.
01
Complete the Paperwork
Once you’re ready to go ahead, I’ll send you a questionnaire to complete and ask you to arrange for your vet to return the referral form before your initial consultation.
02
Begin Your Support
We’ll start with a thorough behaviour assessment to understand what may be driving your dog’s behaviour. I’ll then create your individual plan and support you as you put it into practice.
03
Ready to take the next step?
Tell me a little about your dog and what has been happening.
Veterinary Referral Required
Changes in behaviour can sometimes be influenced by pain, illness or another underlying medical factor. For this reason, I can only work with dogs on veterinary referral. This allows your vet to share relevant clinical information with me and helps to make sure your dog receives safe, appropriate and joined-up support.
You don’t need to have the referral in place before getting in touch. You’re very welcome to book a free discovery call or send an enquiry first and I can explain what is needed. Your initial behaviour assessment can then go ahead once I have received the completed referral form and your dog’s relevant clinical history.

FAQs
-
You don’t need to decide by yourself. You can book a free discovery call or get in touch using my contact form if you would prefer to explain what is happening in writing. I’ll help you consider which programme may be the most suitable starting point for you and your dog.
Both programmes include the same thorough initial assessment and personalised plan; the difference is the number of follow-up visits and the length of ongoing support.
If you begin with the Heart Dog Foundations Programme and later feel that more support would be helpful, you can upgrade to the Extended Support Programme.
-
Your initial behaviour assessment and consultation can take place online or in your home, depending on what is most appropriate for you and your dog. For some dogs, an online assessment is the kinder and less stressful option, particularly if they find unfamiliar people entering their home difficult.
We can discuss the most suitable format when you get in touch.
-
Changes in behaviour can sometimes be influenced by pain, illness or another underlying medical factor. A veterinary referral allows your vet to share relevant clinical information and helps ensure that your dog receives safe, appropriate and joined-up support.
Your completed veterinary referral form, relevant clinical history and guardian questionnaire must reach me at least 48 hours before your initial consultation. If I haven’t received them by this deadline, the consultation will need to be rearranged.
-
We’ll discuss the initial recommendations during your consultation, so you’ll have some practical steps to begin putting into place straight away.
You’ll receive your tailored behaviour modification plan within five working days of the consultation. I’ll also send a summary report to your vet, helping to keep everyone involved informed and ensure that your dog receives joined-up support.
You’ll then have continued support throughout your programme, as well as your included in-person follow-up visit or visits.
-
You can use your ongoing support to ask brief questions, share updates and send short videos for review as you begin putting your dog’s plan into practice.
Each week, you can choose between up to 30 minutes of email and WhatsApp support or a pre-booked video call of up to 20 minutes if you would prefer to talk things through. Support is available during office hours, subject to availability, and unused time cannot be carried over.
This isn’t an emergency service, but it gives you regular access to guidance and reassurance between your follow-up visits.
-
In-person appointments may take place in your home or include a supported walk in your local area, depending on your dog’s needs.
Travel within 20 driving miles of Snodland is included. For appointments further afield, travel is charged at 45p per additional mile for the outward and return journeys. Any additional cost will always be agreed with you before booking.

Every dog is an individual, so behaviour change is rarely quick or completely predictable. Progress can be influenced by your dog’s health, experiences, environment and the nature of the behaviour itself. It will also depend on factors such as how consistently the plan can be implemented and the time and opportunities available to practise.
I understand that every guardian’s circumstances are different, so your plan will be designed to feel realistic and manageable within your everyday life. We can review and adapt it together if something isn’t working for you or your dog.
Although I can’t guarantee a particular outcome or timescale, my role is to help you understand what may be driving your dog’s behaviour, develop practical strategies and support you as you put them into place. The aim is to help your dog feel safer while helping you feel more informed, prepared and confident.
-
Behaviour work is a collaborative process. I’ll guide you, demonstrate relevant strategies and practise them with you during follow-up sessions, but the everyday changes happen through the relationship you share with your dog.
You won’t be left to work everything out alone. I’ll support you throughout your programme and adapt the plan where needed.
Let’s find the right support for you and your dog
You don’t have to keep trying to work everything out by yourself. With a clearer understanding of what may be driving your dog’s behaviour, practical strategies tailored to your everyday life and continued professional support, you can begin to feel more confident and hopeful about what comes next.
The first step is to book a free discovery call or send an enquiry through my contact form if you would prefer to tell me about your concerns in writing. From there, I can help you decide which programme may be the right fit for you and your dog.
